Prachanda meets CM Shahi-led group over Karnali political crisis



KATHMANDU: Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda is holding separate meets with NCP leaders from Karnali Province over the issues surfaced in the party of late.

He first met Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi’s team at his residence in Khumaltar on Thursday and discussed the issue.

It was said that NCP Chairmen KP Oli and Prachanda would be meeting with the leaders representing both the factions on Thursday. But, Prachanda met the leaders separately.

The Chairman duo had summoned CM Shahi to Kathmandu along with the office-bearers of the Province Committee after 18 lawmakers filed a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Shahi.
