BIRATNAGAR: Home Minister Sudan Gurung is scheduled to visit Siraha today, where he will meet the family of the deceased. He informed about the visit while speaking in Dewangunj, Sunsari.
On Thursday night, Home Minister Gurung met the families of the deceased in Kaptangunj of Dewanganj Rural Municipality, where a seven-point agreement was signed in his presence.
After the agreement, he arrived in Biratnagar, Morang. Following a brief stay there, he is scheduled to proceed to Siraha.
Tensions have spread across several districts of Madhesh Province as protests intensified on Thursday over the violent incident in Sunsari. Ganesh Yadav, son of Ramvriksha Yadav of Tulsiyahi in Dhangadhimai Municipality, Siraha, died after being shot by police.
Home Minister Gurung is expected to meet the Yadav family and receive updates from police and administrative officials on the latest security situation in the district.
