KATHMANDU: The National Assembly (NA) is set to convene today at 1:15 pm, with Home Minister Sudan Gurung and Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel scheduled to respond to oral questions concerning their respective ministries.
During the meeting, National Assembly member Kamala Panta is scheduled to table an attention motion urging the government to clarify its preparedness for monsoon-related disasters and emergency response measures.
Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal is also expected to present a condolence motion in memory of former Deputy Prime Minister Gopal Man Shrestha.
Separately, the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee will hold a meeting at 2:00 pm to discuss the National Forensic Science Laboratory Bill, 2024. Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Mahabir Pun has been invited to participate in the discussion.
