NEPSE up slightly, closes at 2,630.71



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) rose marginally by 4.19 points, closing at 2,630.71 on Thursday, marking a modest 0.15 percent increase from Tuesday.

Despite the slight uptick, market performance remained mixed. A total of 70 companies recorded gains in their share prices, while 163 saw declines, and 9 remained unchanged.

The day’s total turnover stood at Rs 5.32 billion, with 20,978,979 shares changing hands.

Leading the gains were Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha, both registering a 10 percent increase.

Among the sub-indices, the Trading sector emerged as the top performer with a 2.31 percent rise, followed by Banking, which gained 1.81 percent.

On the other hand, Finance was the biggest loser, declining by 2.70 percent, trailed by Development Bank, which fell 2.48 percent.
