Accused in Sankhuwasabha mass murder remanded to custody



KIMATHANKA: Four accused in the mass killing at Madi municipality -1 in Sankhuwasabha district have been ordered to be remanded in custody for further investigation into the case.

The District Court, Sankhuwasabha information officer Dilli Prasai said Khadga Bahadur Karki, Lok Bahadur Karki, Rana Bahadur Karki, and Hasta Bahadur Karki were remanded to custody for further investigation into the case. Likewise, a 17-year-old Naresh Karki has been ordered to be sent to Child Correction Home, Biratnagar for being a juvenile.

Tej Bahadur Karki, 52, his mother Parbati Karki, 84, spouse Kamala Karki, 52, daughter-in-law Ranjana Karki, 32, grandson Dipen Karki, 8, and granddaughter Goma Karki, 5, of Umling Khola, Madi-1 were killed on September 6.
