NSU stage demonstration in Darchula against Chinese encroachment

DARCHULA: The Nepali Congress-affiliated Nepal Students’ Union (NSU) on Wednesday staged a protest in Darchula demanding the return of Nepal’s land encroached by China.

The NSU chanted slogans against the Chinese encroachment in Humla alleging the government for failing to take up the issue of border encroachment seriously, NSU leader Surendra Joshi said.

He came down heavily on the government for making people suffer while alleging the Nepal Communist Party government of functioning as per the people’s sentiments.

The NSU youths also marched around Khalanga Bazaar chanting slogans against the government.

They chanted slogans such as “maintain peace, law and order in the country,” “Go back China”, among others.
