FCAN ‘displeased’ with Public Procurement Regulations

KATHMANDU: Federation of Contractors’ Associations of Nepal (FCAN) has objected to some clauses of the Public Procurement Regulations (Sixth Amendment)-2075, which has been issued by the government recently.

The FCAN said some clauses of the Regulation would displace domestic entrepreneurs since it has given priority to foreign entrepreneurs.

Issuing a press statement, the FCAN said that the government failed to grab the opportunity of formulating construction-friendly acts.

It also criticized the government for issuing the Regulations against the suggestions of the FCAN and other concerned bodies.
