NRB issues today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for Friday.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs. 152.92, while the selling rate stands at Rs. 153.52.

Similarly, the buying rate of one euro has been fixed at Rs. 176.43 and the selling rate at Rs. 177.12. The buying and selling rates of one UK pound sterling have been set at Rs. 204.35 and Rs. 205.16 respectively, while one Swiss franc is being traded at Rs. 191.32 (buying) and Rs. 192.07 (selling).

The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been fixed at Rs. 106.97 and the selling rate at Rs. 107.39. Likewise, one Canadian dollar is being exchanged at Rs. 109.41 (buying) and Rs. 109.84 (selling), while one Singapore dollar is valued at Rs. 118.71 (buying) and Rs. 119.18 (selling).

The buying and selling rates of 10 Japanese yen have been fixed at Rs. 9.53 and Rs. 9.56 respectively. One Chinese yuan is being exchanged at Rs. 22.56 (buying) and Rs. 22.65 (selling), one Saudi Arabian riyal at Rs. 40.74 and Rs. 40.90, and one Qatari riyal at Rs. 41.95 and Rs. 42.11.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht is Rs. 4.64 and the selling rate is Rs. 4.66. Similarly, one UAE dirham is valued at Rs. 41.64 (buying) and Rs. 41.80 (selling), while one Malaysian ringgit is being traded at Rs. 37.60 and Rs. 37.75 respectively.

The buying and selling rates of 100 South Korean won have been fixed at Rs. 9.99 and Rs. 10.03 respectively. One Swedish krona is valued at Rs. 16.04 (buying) and Rs. 16.10 (selling), while one Danish krone is being exchanged at Rs. 23.61 (buying) and Rs. 23.70 (selling).

Likewise, the buying and selling rates of one Hong Kong dollar have been set at Rs. 19.51 and Rs. 19.59 respectively. One Kuwaiti dinar is being traded at Rs. 497.71 (buying) and Rs. 499.66 (selling), one Bahraini dinar at Rs. 405.54 and Rs. 407.13, and one Omani rial at Rs. 397.17 and Rs. 398.73.

The buying rate of Indian currency has been fixed at Rs. 160 per 100 Indian rupees, while the selling rate stands at Rs. 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated exchange rates can be viewed on the central bank’s website.
