Coordination mechanism to bring bodies of dead Nepali to Israel as soon as possible

KATHMANDU: The coordination mechanism, led by Foreign Minister NP Saud, has swiftly taken action to repatriate the bodies of those tragically lost in the ongoing conflict in Israel.

The urgency of the situation prompted the coordination mechanism to engage with Israeli authorities to expedite the process, with preparations for the transportation of the deceased already underway.

Furthermore, the coordination mechanism has prioritized the safe evacuation of Nepali citizens currently residing in Israel. Established by the government under the able leadership of Foreign Minister Saud, this mechanism has been assigned the crucial task of continuous vigilance, thorough situational assessment, identification of citizens in distress, prompt decision-making, and efficient coordination and support for rescue operations.

In a grim development, ten Nepali nationals fell victim to an attack by the Hamas group in the location known as Kibbutz Alumim, Israel. An additional four individuals are presently under medical care at a local hospital, battling injuries sustained during the conflict. Compounding the concerns, the Nepali Embassy in Israel has reported the unaccounted whereabouts of a fellow Nepali citizen, prompting an ongoing search operation.

The government, in collaboration with international partners, remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of Nepali citizens affected by this crisis, as it navigates the complexities of this distressing situation in Israel.
