KATHMANDU: Financial contributions to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund and Prime Minister’s Relief Fund have continued following the Bhotekoshi River floods in Rasuwa.
According to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the total balance in the funds has reached Rs 16.155 billion.
The Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund has Rs 12.005 billion deposited across nine commercial banks. The dollar accounts maintained at Himalayan Bank and Laxmi Sunrise Bank hold $27.106 million.
The government has already released Rs 1 billion from the fund for flood-affected areas.
