Israel unrest: mechanism meeting underway



KATHMANDU: A meeting of a coordination mechanism formed under the convenorship of Foreign Minister NP Saud to take necessary decisions regarding those Nepali citizens affected by the ongoing violence in Israel is taking place in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The government on Sunday formed the mechanism which has been assigned to comprehensively monitor the situation, assess the developments and evaluate the situation of the Nepali community in Israel and to undertake decisions if rescue is required and coordinate any related efforts.

According to the Nepali Embassy in Israel, 10 people – most from Sudurpaschim were killed in the recent lethal attack in Israel.
