Top Chinese leader Jiajun arrives in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: Yuan Jiajun, a prominent member of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) Politburo, has arrived in Kathmandu following his visit to Sri Lanka.

Yuan holds a significant position within the CPC and is undertaking a three-day visit in Nepal’s capital, during which he is scheduled to meet with the country’s top leaders.

He is holding a meeting with Maoist Centers leaders today evening.

However, it has been confirmed that there will be no meeting between Yuan Chi Chun and Prime Minister and Chairman of the Maoist Center, Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda.”

Prime Minister Dahal has already left for Italy on Saturday.

Nevertheless, there are speculations that discussions concerning Prime Minister Prachanda’s potential visit to China will be a topic during Yuan’s stay in Nepal.
