KATHMANDU: Senior leader of Nepali Congress(NC) Ram Chandra Poudel has accused Prime Minister KP Oli of leading the country towards a conflict similar to the ones faced by Afghanistan and added that NC is ready to face.
Speaking to the reporters at Biratnagar Airport, NC leader Poudel remarked that Oli’s decision has led the country towards ruin.
He told the reporters that he is optimistic about the decision of the court.
“NC is not for the mid-term election. I am confident that the court will interpret the constitution as per the spirit and the related articles of the constitution,” senior Leader Poudel told the reporters, “Even if we have to go for the election we will go as per the constitution; the party has not made any decision about joining the government, so no one will join the government.”
Nepali Congress seems divided on whether to join the government and prepare for the election or further intensify the protest against the Oli government.
Answering the question about the no-confidence motion tabled in Province 1 and Bagmati Province, Leader Poudel told that the party would go against the incumbent government.
“We have made the shadow government at the center, we are in opposition in the provinces as well,” he told in Biratnagar, “If a motion of no-confidence is tabled, we will go against the incumbent government.”
He accused Prime Minister KP Oli of causing instability in the name of election and added that he is confident that the House of Representatives would be re-established by the court.
