NRB sets foreign exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs 152.67, while the selling rate is Rs 152.27.

The buying rate for one euro has been fixed at Rs 177.03 and the selling rate at Rs 177.72. Similarly, the buying rate for one British pound sterling is Rs 207.00 and the selling rate is Rs 207.81. The Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 188.55 for buying and Rs 189.29 for selling.

The buying rate for one Australian dollar is Rs 108.78 and the selling rate is Rs 109.20. Likewise, the Canadian dollar has been fixed at Rs 110.17 for buying and Rs 110.60 for selling, while the Singapore dollar is set at Rs 119.64 for buying and Rs 120.11 for selling.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.59 and the selling rate is Rs 9.63. The Chinese yuan has been fixed at Rs 22.66 for buying and Rs 22.75 for selling. Similarly, the buying rate for one Saudi Arabian riyal is Rs 40.66 and the selling rate is Rs 40.82, while the Qatari riyal is set at Rs 41.88 for buying and Rs 42.05 for selling.

According to NRB, the buying rate for one Thai baht is Rs 4.63 and the selling rate is Rs 4.64. The UAE dirham has been fixed at Rs 41.57 for buying and Rs 41.73 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit is set at Rs 37.60 for buying and Rs 37.75 for selling.

The buying rate for 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.81 and the selling rate is Rs 10.85. Similarly, the Swedish krona has been fixed at Rs 16.10 for buying and Rs 16.16 for selling, while the Danish krone is set at Rs 23.68 for buying and Rs 23.77 for selling.

The buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar is Rs 19.46 and the selling rate is Rs 19.54. The Kuwaiti dinar has been fixed at Rs 497.22 for buying and Rs 499.17 for selling.

Similarly, the buying rate for one Bahraini dinar is Rs 404.95 and the selling rate is Rs 406.54, while the Omani rial is set at Rs 396.53 for buying and Rs 398.09 for selling.

The buying and selling rates for 100 Indian rupees have both been fixed at Rs 160.

NRB said the exchange rates could be revised at any time if necessary. It also noted that rates offered by commercial banks may differ from those fixed by the central bank, with updated rates available on NRB’s website.
