KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane on Sunday made public a document titled “Citizen Contract” through Facebook, outlining the party’s commitments ahead of the upcoming election on March 5.
The document includes pledges ranging from governance reform to prosperity and employment generation.
The party has placed good governance as its top priority, pledging a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. It proposes ensuring timely delivery of public services through digital platforms, enhancing transparency and accountability in government services, and publishing online asset details of public officials.
On the economic front, the document prioritizes building a production-oriented economy, expanding employment, and strengthening the middle class. It outlines plans to increase average income, expand access to quality education and healthcare, and reinforce the social security system.
To generate jobs, the party has proposed expanding investment in information technology, construction, tourism, agriculture, industry, and services. It has also emphasized accelerating the expansion of roads, hydropower, and digital networks to boost economic activity.
The document further commits to protecting the rights of Nepalis living abroad, making foreign employment safer and more dignified, and creating an environment that encourages return migration.
The RSP has pledged to publish an annual progress report on the implementation of its commitments if it forms the government. Under the slogan “Not talk, but action; not speeches, but results,” Lamichhane has claimed that the party will deliver result-oriented governance.
