KATHMANDU: Twenty-five people injured in the flooding of the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on Wednesday morning have been brought to Kathmandu for treatment.
According to Nepal Police spokesperson Superintendent Dan Bahadur Thapa, four of the injured are receiving treatment at the National Trauma Center.
Those being treated there have been identified as Bhakta Bhandari, Sita Bhandari, Bibek Kumal and Rihana Lamichhane of Bidur Municipality-5, Nuwakot.
Police said Dawa Dolma of Gosaikunda, Rasuwa, is receiving treatment at Birendra Army Hospital in Chhauni.
Several other injured people are undergoing treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj.
According to police, those receiving treatment at the hospital include Tej Bahadur Tamang of Bidur-3, Nuwakot; Pemba Tamang of Gosaikunda-5, Rasuwa; Kushal Magar, whose address is unknown; an unidentified man; Min Bahadur Shrestha of Sindhupalchok; Girilal Budhathoki of Salyan; Rupak Roka, Sujan Basnet, Ashok Shrestha and Sushant Shrestha of Barhabise-5, Sindhupalchok; Bal Bahadur Gharti Magar of Jajarkot; and Kamu Nagarkoti of Timure, Gosaikunda-7, Rasuwa.
Nagarkoti was reportedly accompanied by a three-month-old infant.
Police also said Prem Dorje Ghale, Nema Dorje Ghale and Phurpa Lama of Timure, Gosaikunda-7, Ram Prasad Tharu of Jeetpur, Bardiya, Surachi Rana Magar of Betravati Rural Municipality-5, Rasuwa, and Rita Docha of Changunarayan Municipality-1, Bhaktapur, are receiving treatment at the Teaching Hospital.
