Vote Counting Center set up at Damak for Jhapa-5



KATHMANDU: The vote counting center for the House of Representatives election in Jhapa-5 has been set up at the Organic Agriculture Market in Damak.

Security arrangements have been tightened at the counting venue. Windows and doors have been secured with high wire mesh fencing, and CCTV cameras have been installed to ensure surveillance and transparency during the counting process.

In this constituency, CPN-UML Chair and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is a key contender. Balendra Shah is contesting from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). Mandara Chimariya is representing the Nepali Congress, while Ranjit Tamang is in the race from the Nepal Communist Party (NCP).

A total of 24 candidates are competing in Jhapa-5. Among them, 10 are independent candidates, while 14 are representing various political parties.
