Bagamati Assembly to begin deliberations on government policies and programmes today



KATHMANDU: The Bagamati Province Assembly is set to begin discussions today on the policies and programmes presented by the provincial government for the upcoming fiscal year 2026/27.

According to the Province Assembly Secretariat, the Assembly meeting scheduled for 1:00 pm will hold clause-wise deliberations on the government’s policy document.

The policies and programmes were presented before the Assembly on May 26 by Deepak Prasad Devkota during a session of the provincial legislature.

Lawmakers are expected to discuss the government’s priorities and proposed programmes across various sectors before the document moves forward in the legislative process.
