CHITWAN: Vehicular movement along the Prithvi Highway has resumed after a four-hour disruption caused by a dry landslide at Ghoptebhir in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-4 on Sunday.
Traffic came to a halt at around 10:00 am after debris from the landslide blocked the highway, disrupting transportation along the busy route connecting Kathmandu with major destinations in western Nepal.
Two-way traffic resumed after the removal of the debris cleared the obstruction, allowing vehicles stranded on both sides of the highway to proceed.
Superintendent of Police Rameshwor Poudel of the District Police Office, Chitwan, confirmed that traffic had resumed following the clearance operation.
The incident caused a temporary disruption on the highway, one of the country’s major road corridors linking Kathmandu with the western region.
