Manang records arrival of over 16,000 tourists in first four months of fiscal year



KATHMANDU: A total of 16,296 tourists visited Manang in the first four months of the current fiscal year, according to the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP).

ACAP Manang Office Chief Dhak Bahadur Bhujel said visitors from 107 countries entered the region during the reporting period.

Of the total arrivals, 812 men and 177 women were from SAARC nations. Likewise, 9,695 men and 6,601 women from other countries trekked through the Himalayan district.

Israel topped the list with 1,910 visitors, followed by France with 1,392 and Germany with 1,208 tourists.
