Ramesh Lekhak to appear before probe commission on Monday

KATHMANDU: Former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said he will appear before the investigation commission on Monday to record his statement.

Speaking to journalists at the Nepali Congress party office in Sanepa on Thursday, Lekhak said he would give his statement to the probe commission formed to investigate incidents related to the Gen-Z movement.

He said the commission had formally asked him to appear on Friday, but he would instead reach the commission’s office on Monday to record his statement.

The investigation commission had written to Lekhak seeking his statement regarding the alleged suppression during the Gen-Z movement.

Lekhak said he decided to cooperate with the commission after consultations during the party’s Central Committee meeting.
