KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), along with the United People’s Movement Committee, has launched a national religious and awareness campaign aiming to restore the constitutional monarchy and establish Nepal as a Sanatan Hindu nation.
The campaign began today with a rally from Jamal, Kathmandu. Leaders, including United People’s Movement Committee coordinator Nabaraj Subedi, RPP President Rajendra Lingden, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal President Kamal Thapa, were present at the event.
According to the organizing committee, the campaign is part of a broader effort to engage with the public and raise support for a future people’s movement that seeks to establish a multi-party democracy under a constitutional monarchy and reintroduce Nepal as a Hindu nation.
RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha stated that this door-to-door campaign will run in the lead-up to a larger national movement scheduled to begin on Jestha 15 (May 29), calling for widespread public participation.
