Death toll from Thawang landslide reaches 12



ROLPA: One more dead body was recovered from the landslide occurred at Kotalbara village in Thawang Rural Municipality-5 on Saturday.

With this, the total death from the Wednesday’s massive landslide reached 12, according to the District Police Office, Rolpa.

Police Inspector of District Police Office Krishna Shrestha said that the dead body of Ajambar Pun Magar, 80, of the village was recovered in the Rapti river at Daderi area of Sarumarani Rural Municipality-2 in Pyuthan district.

Nine-year-old Ashim Pun Magar of Thawang Rural Municipality-5 is still missing in the disaster, the police said.
