Identity of woman found dead in bus in Jhapa revealed



JHAPA: The identity of the woman found dead in a bus traveling from Damak to Birtamod has been revealed.

The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old Seling Chemjong from Gachhiya, Morang.

The incident occurred on Friday evening when Chemjong was discovered unconscious and collapsed on her seat by fellow passengers.

The bus, a public vehicle bearing the registration number Me 1 Kha 2545, was traveling along the Damak-Birtamod section of the East-West Highway when the passengers noticed the unresponsive woman around 5:45 pm at Jhilbile.

Upon noticing the situation, the passengers immediately informed the police, who arrived at the scene to conduct a preliminary investigation. Jhapa police have stated that further investigations are underway to determine the cause of Chemjong’s death.

Authorities are currently reaching out to the victim’s family to gather more information about her health condition prior to the incident. The police have not yet disclosed whether there were any visible injuries or signs of foul play.
