One beaten to death in in Kalikot



KALIKOT: Rajesh Shahi, 17, has died following a violent altercation at Khandachakra Municipality-10 in Kalikot on Wednesday night.

The incident occurred after a fight broke out between youths who had gathered to watch an event near Hasta Bahadur Malla’s house.

Bhupendra Shahi, a 16-year-old, was also injured in the attack.

Authorities have arrested Bivek Malla and Dipendra Malla, both from Khandachakra-9, in connection with the beating. A search is underway for other individuals involved in the incident.

Assistant Chief District Officer Janak Sharma confirmed the tragic death, while DSP Tek Bahadur Rawat provided further details, stating the police are investigating the matter.
