Indian PM Modi won’t attend Sagarmatha Sambaad: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not attend the upcoming Sagarmatha Sambaad, as confirmed by Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Speaking at a press conference at Tribhuvan International Airport on Saturday, Prime Minister Oli stated that Modi’s schedule for a visit to Europe had already been finalized, which coincides with the timing of the Sagarmatha Sambaad.

PM Oli said due to these pre-existing commitments, PM Modi would not be able to participate in the event. He also shared details of his cordial meeting with PM Modi, describing the interaction as friendly and pleasant.

PM Oli had also met with other regional leaders, including the Prime Ministers of Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and Myanmar, during his trip.
