KATHMANDU: Although most parts of Sudurpaschim Province are receiving normal rainfall, the risk of heavy rainfall and related hazards is gradually receding.
According to the Nepal Meteorological Field Office in Attariya, the low-pressure system that developed over the Bay of Bengal is gradually weakening, resulting in a decline in the associated risks.
Normal life in the province has been affected by continuous rainfall. However, the overall risk is now decreasing.
Office Chief Sanjay Kumar Sah said the low-pressure system has been weakening since this afternoon. Although the risk has decreased, he urged people to remain cautious.
Heavy rainfall is possible at one or two places in the Terai this afternoon, while moderate rainfall is forecast in most parts of the province from tonight.
