PM Dahal announces plans to revitalize long-closed industries



BIRGUNJ, PARSA: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has revealed that the government is actively working on reviving industries that have long remained closed.

Speaking at the 20th Establishment Day and National Council Meeting of Press Centre Nepal in Parsa of Birgunj, the Prime Minister highlighted the ongoing preparations to rejuvenate key industrial entities, including the Biratnagar Jute Mill, Hetauda Textile Factory, Gorakhkali Rubber Industry, and Butwal Spinning Mills Ltd.

“It has been decided to operate such industries under the private-public partnership model,” he mentioned.

The Prime Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to formulating the budget through collaborative efforts of political parties.

The upcoming policies and programs aim to prioritize citizens’ interests while promoting socialism and social justice, he added.

Anticipating significant changes through the upcoming budget, policies, and programs, the Prime Minister stated that input from local and provincial governments would be sought during the formulation procedures.

He also emphasized the government’s strong stance against land mafia and usury practices.
