NRB revokes licenses of three remittance companies

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), Nepal’s central bank, has revoked the licenses of three remittance companies.

The central bank revoked licenses of Bhatbhateni Money Transfer, Modern Remittance, and Namaste Remit International.

According to the central bank, the licenses were revoked due to the companies’ failure to renew their business permits within the stipulated timeframe.

In an official statement, NRB assured that any outstanding remittance amounts from the revoked institutions would be addressed.

Concerned parties have been asked to submit claims in writing within 35 days to ensure proper resolution.
