Gold prices drop after week of increases



KATHMANDU: The price of gold, which had been rising continuously for the past week and setting daily high records, has declined today.

Specifically, the price dropped by Rs 700 per tola on Thursday, bringing it to Rs 166,000.

This marks a decrease from yesterday’s price of Rs 166,700, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders Federation.

After a steady increase since Wednesday of last week, the price of gold has experienced a slight downturn today.

Silver prices also fell, reversing yesterday’s increase of Rs 35 per tola.

Today, silver is priced at Rs 2,095, down from yesterday’s trading price of Rs 2,135, as reported by the Federation.
