KATHMANDU: Gold and silver prices have soared to new heights today, continuing their upward trend that has lasted for the past seven days.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Traders, gold prices surged by Rs 800 on Wednesday, reaching a record high of Rs 166,700.

This marks a significant increase from yesterday’s price of Rs 165,900.

Silver also reached a new peak, rising by Rs 35 per tola to hit Rs 2,135 today, up from yesterday’s price of Rs 2,100.

This sharp increase in gold and silver prices, which began in the last week of September, shows no signs of slowing down as we move into October last week.
