In a notable shift, the price of gold in the Nepali market has surged by Rs 600, reaching Rs 165,600 per tola.
Just the day before, it was trading at Rs 165,000.
Additionally, silver has also set a new record, with the price per tola hitting Rs 2,095, up from Rs 2,075 the previous day.
PM Oli’s actions validate corruption allegations: Prachanda
Chairman of Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”, has accused Prime Minister KP Oli of confirming that his government is a protector of corruption by accepting land from an individual currently on trial.
Speaking at a program in Jumla today, Prachanda asserted that since the government’s formation, he has maintained that its purpose is to safeguard corrupt practices, a claim he says the Prime Minister has now validated.
“I stated at the time that this government was established to protect and promote corruption. It’s been three months since its formation, and the evidence is clear,” he remarked.
NC President Deuba halts ordinance to avoid provoking opposition
The future of the party split ordinance proposed by Prime Minister KP Oli has remained uncertain.
Confusion arose after ruling Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba withheld full consent for the ordinance.
Sources indicate that NC President Deuba is disinterested in issuing the ordinance for two key reasons.
PM Oli’s Cabinet meeting postponed
The Cabinet meeting called by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for Monday has been postponed. The meeting was scheduled for 5:15 PM today, but ministers have confirmed that it will not take place as planned.
The meeting was expected to address the ordinance related to political parties. On Sunday, Prime Minister Oli held lengthy discussions with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba regarding the ordinance.
The meeting, which took place at Baluwatar, continued late into the night. Sources revealed that Foreign Minister and Deuba’s wife, Arzu Rana, was also present at the meeting.

Nepal achieved a stunning 11-0 win against the Maldives in the SAFF Women’s Championship on Monday at Dasharath Stadium.
