PM Oli urges Rajarshi Janak University to develop world-class human resources

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has called on Rajarshi Janak University (RJU) to cultivate human resources capable of competing on a global scale.

Speaking at the Eighth General Meeting of RJU, held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar today, he emphasized the need for concerted efforts to address the challenges in developing capable human resources.

Prime Minister Oli urged the university, located in Janakpur—a place with a rich historical background—to incorporate both oriental philosophy and local heritage into its curriculum development.

“Nepal has a unique and ancient history. Our ancestors engaged in debates on science and knowledge when many countries did not even exist. Shiva is considered our ‘unorganized university.’

In this context, our land has been a source of global inspiration,” he stated.

The meeting was attended by RJU Pro-Chancellor and Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Bidhya Bhattarai, Pro-Chancellor and Chief Minister of Madhes Province Satish Kumar Singh, National Planning Commission member Gita Kumari Poudel Adhikari, and other officials.
