Meeting of Parliamentary Hearing Committee taking place



KATHMANDU: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee of the Federal Parliament is taking place today at 1:00 PM in Singha Durbar.

The agenda includes discussions on the hearing of Chief Justice nominee Prakashman Singh Raut and the proposed ambassadors.

Raut has been called to present his case before the committee today.

The Constitutional Council earlier recommended Raut for the Chief Justice position, along with Sewa Lamsal and Chitralekha Yadav as ambassadors to Belgium and Australia, respectively.

On Tuesday, the committee engaged with the complainant who filed a grievance against the proposed judge and ambassadors.

A total of six complaints have been lodged against Chief Justice nominee Raut, with one complaint each against ambassadors Lamsal and Yadav.
