Foreign Minister Rana and MCC CEO Albright review progress on MCC project

WASHINGTON DC: Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba met with Alice P. Albright, Chief Executive Officer of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), a U.S. agency, on Monday.

The meeting, held at the Nepali Embassy, focused on the enforcement of activities under the MCC project that Nepal signed in 2017.

The importance of timely project completion was emphasized during the discussion, according to the Nepali Embassy.

Under the MCC project, Nepal is set to implement a transmission line and road upgrades, with $50 million in assistance provided for these initiatives.

This meeting took place just before Minister Rana’s departure for Doha. She had arrived in the U.S. to attend the 79th United Nations General Assembly.
