Nepal defeats Sri Lanka in CAVA Women’s Volleyball Nations League opener



KATHMANDU: Nepal kicked off the CAVA Women’s Volleyball Nations League with a strong performance, defeating Sri Lanka in straight sets.

The match, held at the National Sports Council Covered Hall in Tripureshwar, saw Nepal win with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, and 25-19.

In the second match of the day, Iran will face India.

Host Nepal is scheduled to play its second match against India this coming Saturday.

The tournament features teams from India, Iran, Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.

The event is co-hosted by Nepal and the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA).
