Dr. Swarnim Wagle set to assume Vice Chairman role in RSP

MAHOTTARI: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has outlined plans to appoint Dr. Swarnim Wagle as its vice chairman.

As per the RSP’s statute, the party holds provisions for two vice chairmen. MP Wagle is slated to assume the role of vice chairman within the RSP.

The RSP’s statute specifies the existence of two vice-chairmen. Dolprasad Aryalmatra has held the position of deputy chairman in RSP since the party’s inception.

During an ongoing meeting in Jaleshwar, Mahottari, Chairman Rabi Lamichhane proposed Wagle, an MP elected from Tanahun-1, for the deputy chairman position.

The official declaration appointing Wagle as vice-chairman is expected at the closing ceremony of the party’s joint meeting.

In line with the National People’s Congress statutes, the Vice-Chairman’s responsibilities include offering essential support to the Chairman, executing tasks delegated by the Chairman, and undertaking assignments designated by the Central Committee and the Executive Committee.

Additionally, the statute outlines that the elder of the two vice-chairmen or the appointee of the chairperson will preside over meetings in the absence of the chairperson.

Similarly, Nandan Yadav who recently joined the party, is set to become a central member.
