KATHMANDU: Despite the ruling parties expressing dissatisfaction with the budget for the fiscal year 2023/24, preparations are currently underway for its passage.

The Nepali Congress and Maoist Center, as ruling parties, have issued a whip to their MPs, directing them to vote in favor of the budget.

However, the Janata Samajwadi Party, United Socialist Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party, and Janamat Party, which are also ruling partners, will decide today morning whether they will support passing the budget or not.

Rajendra Pandey, Vice Chairman of the United Socialist Party, stated that the party has scheduled a meeting of the Parliamentary Party this morning to deliberate and make a decision regarding the budget.

Although there is dissatisfaction among other parties within the ruling alliance regarding the budget-making process, they are not inclined to halt the budget.

The Janata Samajwadi Party will make a decision on this matter on Wednesday morning.
