KATHMANDU: Police have held a Filipino from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) along with a huge amount of money that he was attempting to take abroad illegally.
Deputy Inspector General of Nepal Police and police spokesperson Kuber Kadayat said that the arrestee is Arsino JR Mesa, 32.
Police recovered 3,000 US dollars and Rs 850,000 from the Filipino. Police headquarters said that Arsino was scheduled to leave for Dubai on a flight of Fly Dubai.
Kadayat said that the Filipino has been sent to the Revenue Investigation Department (RID) for further legal actions and investigation purposes.
