KATHMANDU: Nepali Army’s Commander-in-Chief, Prabhuram Sharma, embarked on a journey to India to participate in the Indo-Pacific Conference, taking place from September 25-27.
On Sunday afternoon, General Sharma left for India from Tribhuvan International Airport, receiving a farewell from the esteemed charioteer, Saroj Pratap Rana.
General Sharma’s visit to India is in conjunction with the 13th Indo-Pacific Armies Chief Conference scheduled in New Delhi from September 25-27. Notably, he was sent off by army charioteers, officials from the Ministry of Defense, and other military personnel. The Directorate of Public Relations and Information reported that an army contingent paid their respects to the Chief of Army Staff prior to his departure for India.
In the absence of the Commander-in-Chief, Rathi Saroj Pratap Rana, the designated charioteer, has temporarily assumed the Commander-in-Chief’s responsibilities.
Following his participation in the conference, General Sharma is expected to return to Nepal on September 28.
