Republic Day 2080 to be observed with grandeur



KATHMANDU: The government is going to celebrate Republic Day in a grand manner with the maximum participation of citizens. The Republic Day is being celebrated on coming May 29.

The decision was taken at the meeting of the “Republic Day 2080 Main Celebration Committee” held today at the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, according to the Secretariat of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”.

Addressing the meeting, the Prime Minister directed the subordinate agencies to make the ‘Republic Day’ celebrations grand and orderly in accordance with the essence and spirit of the Federal Democratic Republic.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, ministers, and the Secretaries.
