Youth conference on climate change taking place today

KATHMANDU: A three-day international conference is taking place beginning today to foster debate on making South Asian region more resilient since the region bears the brunt of the climate change impacts.

As many as 120 youths from 14 countries are taking part in the conference being held under the theme of “Shaping Climate Resilience towards a Great Himalayan Future for All”.

The organizers said that innovative ideas and the best practices on climate change issues would be discussed at the event.

The name of the conference is given SHAPE South Asia-2023 for being organized in the South Asian region.

Different thematic papers and advocacy papers would be discussed and issued at the conference.

During the conference, CIN, the Nepal Chamber of Commerce and other private sector representative agencies are scheduled to make their commitment to reducing climate change impact.
