KATHMANDU: The hearing on a habeas corpus petition related to the Lalita Niwas land grab scam will continue today at the Supreme Court.

The hearing began before the division bench of Justices Prakash Kumar Dhungana and Nahakul Subedi of the apex court on Monday but remained inconclusive due to time constraints.

Therefore, the continuation of the hearing is scheduled for today.

The writ has been filed by Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut, former Election Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Shah, businessman Meen Bahadur Gurung, and former employee Dharma Prasad Gautam of the Land Revenue Office, who are contesting their arrest in connection with the case.

Notably, the Supreme Court is simultaneously handling six such writ petitions.
