Top leaders are embroiled in corruption scandals: Lingden

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden on Thursday made a startling claim, asserting that the top leaders of major political parties are embroiled in corruption scandals.

His allegation has cast a shadow of doubt over the integrity of the top leaders and has sparked widespread interest and concern among the public.

Addressing an anti-corruption demonstration in Basantapur in Kathmandu on Thursday, Lingden claimed that top leaders of major political parties have forged a consensus to commit corruption.

He emphasized that despite the public disclosure of numerous corruption cases, political parties have deviated from the intended path as commissions are formed and investigations are carried out.

Lingden emphasized that the involvement of major political parties in all corruption scandals to date reaffirms a prevailing notion.

He said, “It’s long been asserted that an all-party consensus exists, and recent evidence serves to confirm this belief.”
