KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal and his Bangladeshi counterpart, Dr. Khalilur Rahman, held a telephone conversation on Thursday to discuss Nepal’s response to the Bhotekoshi flood disaster.
During the conversation, the two foreign ministers discussed ongoing search, rescue and relief operations following Wednesday’s devastating floods.
Khanal thanked the Government of Bangladesh for offering assistance to Nepal and said the two countries would remain in close coordination regarding any specific support required.
The conversation took place as search, rescue and relief efforts continue in areas affected by flooding in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.
