KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives is going to pass the bill related to loan sharking on Sunday itself.
The leaders of the political parties have agreed to pass the bill related to meter badges in the meeting of the House of Representatives Committee on Sunday.
According to Padam Giri, the chief whip of the main opposition party CPN-UML, the parties agreed to proceed with the usury-related bill today and get it ratified by the parliament at the earliest.
“We have made a common document by integrating the amendments put forward by the parliamentarians. It has been agreed to be passed by the parliament,” Giri said.
The meeting of the House of Representatives was called at 1 pm on Sunday. However, it got delayed to seek consensus of the parties on the usury-related bill.
