Former Minister Neupane labels Special Court decision as biased and unfair

KATHMANDU: Former Minister Badri Prasad Neupane has claimed that the Special Court’s  decision to  fine and imprison him is unjust, biased and unfair.

Organizing a press conference in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Neupane objected the Special Court’s decision to acquit the government officials and fine and imprison him.

Earlier, the Court sentenced him to fine and imprisonment for the contract regarding the lease of the land of Bhrikutimandap.

Neupane claimed that the judgment pronounced against him was not in accordance with the law and evidence, but was unjust and unreasonable.

Stating that the Commission for the Investigation of Authority (CIAA) had been biased against him, Neupane challenged the authority to cite evidence against him.

Neupane ruled the possibility of depositing the bail amount and said that he had no money to pay for bail.
