Country loses an experienced politician: Speaker Ghimire

KATHMANDU: Speaker Devraj Ghimire said he was stunned by the untimely demise of Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairperson and former Speaker Subash Chandra Nembang.

Expressing deep sorrow on the demise of Nembang, also the vice-chairperson of the CPN-UML, Speaker Ghimire said Nepal’s parliament has lost an experienced and prominent politician.

“The House of Representatives (HoR) has lost a sober, popular and competent member. I would like to extend my tribute to Nembang and express my deep condolences to the bereaved family members”, he said.

Nembang died due to a heart attack at 1.30 a.m. this morning.
