Govt should either be honest or make room for next govt: Dr. Shekhar Koirala

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has asked Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to clear the way for the next government provided it can not work efficiently.

Addressing a program organized in Kathmandu on Saturday, leader Koirala said that the country is going through a difficult situation and requested the government to be honest if can not make room for another government.

He mentioned that there is anarchy everywhere in the country and asserted that no one but NC can handle this situation.

“The country is going through a very difficult situation. There is chaos everywhere. Call it political anarchy, economic anarchy, social, religious now political anarchy has also come to the country. Who will handle it? Apart from the Nepali Congress, there is no democratic party in Nepal that can handle it,” Dr. Koirala said.

He labeled the Prime Minister’s expressions as irresponsible and urged the Prime Minister to clear the way if he can not work substantively for the people.

“The expression from the Prime Minister is unfortunate for Nepali people. So this government should be honest. If it cannot be truthful and honest, it should make room for other parties,” he said, claiming, “Only NC can end these anarchies.”

Dr. Koirala also said that the Congress should fight the upcoming elections alone.
