Both Houses of Federal Parliament scheduled to meet today



KATHMANDU: Both Houses of the Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet today.

The meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled for 1 pm at Singha Durbar. According to the proposed agenda, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam is slated to present the Nepal Law Commission (First Amendment) Bill, 2083.

Minister Gautam will also present a proposal seeking consideration of the Reconciliation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083, according to the Parliament Secretariat.

She will further present the Agreement on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biodiversity in Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Similarly, Minister for Youth, Labour and Employment Ramji Yadav will present a proposal to send the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Bill, 2083 to the concerned committee for clause-wise discussion.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly is scheduled to meet at 10:15 am. Prime Minister Balendra Shah is scheduled to present a proposal to send a bill received from the House of Representatives with a message to the Legislative Management Committee for clause-wise discussion.
